There comes a Time When People Must Realise that Much Is Loaded Against Them, the Establishment and Law is on the side of those who would rule over and those who would oppress us, exploit us and expropriate the wealth of our land and communities. Realise this and then you must realise that the only way to win is to fight back but of course the winning is not over night, it might take months, years perhaps a century or so. However, the people will win if this was not so then you would not have many of the freedoms and rights you have today, if it were not for those in the past who rose up for land and Liberty as well as peoples basic needs to make living in a so called democracy - A truth! Yet all the time there are those who want to deny the people their rights and destroy the freedoms which have been fought for down through the centuries. This is as much a truth today as it was yesterday and many years ago, it is a truth measured in the blood of Martyrs as those who were hanged, imprisoned and transported in exiled imprisonment in the Penal Colonies. It is also a truth measured in the sacrifice of those who in struggle for justice and fairplay, were massacred by soldiers of the Crown as in the 3 June Merthyr Massacre of 1831. However, the peoples struggle has contined down through the ages from time when the peasants of Cwm Caeo in popular revolt armed with nought but the Pitchfork against enclosures rose up in the 16th Century with the cry of 'Trech Gwlad Nag Arglwydd'. Today, I repeat that cry for Land and Liberty:

To the year of 1839 at Newport when Workers armed with a few muskets but mostly Pikes marched on the Westgate Hotel, Newport. To be out gunned by again 'Soldiers of the Crown' and thus another sad story of defeat and death. Lessons learnt the people organised into Trades Unions that waged epic struggles for justice and fairplay. Epic struggles as throughout Southern Wales in the Coal Mining Region and in North Wales in the Slate Quarrying Districts but as these struggles advanced in strike and riot, so too did the Peoples Political aspirations. First through the Chartist and then Labour Movement and Party, sadly only to be increasingly betrayed by a new breed of Politician, those that were not of the Working Class but more the 'Suits' of those who have come to see Politics as just another proffession and one in which self Interest can be advanced. Plaid Cymru is no different, it's failiure to deliver as a Nationalist Party has led to the advance of a great deception. That it is now to advance left as a potential 'Welsh Socialist Party' under the leader ship of a new leader Leanne Wood and press button 'feminist, environmemtal, pacifist' of 'Guardian Republicanism'.

It is interesting that former rural 'Crachach' of Gwynedd 'Client Tribe' capitalists of 'Y Crachach Newydd' along with the 'Cultural Crachia' have become such enthusiasts for a Plaid Cymru 'New Left'. Along with an assorted crew of Plaid Reformers and Patriotic Fringe 'Republicans' of many descriptions along with a 'Pick amd Mix' collection ranging from young student 'Plant Crachach' (CyIG) to the 'Usual Welsh Suspect' Pacifists and Anti - Nucleur 'Disarmers'. Nothing wrong with that, not unless you know some 'Home Truths' as to why the Welsh Middle Classes make such a proffession of this pacifism that in it's missionary zeal would disarm natives and make them impotant against British Imperialism. Perhaps the preachers of pacifism in Wales were worried the workers would turn their Pitchforks and Pikes on they, why else so much memory presentation of Dic Penderyn 'The Martyr' and not so the Militant Lewis Lewis. Such is the matter of the Welsh Martyr and Militant.
