I would not argue that Plaid does not have within it a radical rural 'social' tradition as well as now a 'Socialist Leaning' by such as represented by Leanne Wood and Bethan Jenkins. This 'Plaid Left' contemporary 'Socialist' leaning however owes more to Leanne and Bethan being more fellow travellers of the 'British Liberal Left' though from time to time they flirt with the 'British Socialist Fringe'. This Plaid left has lost it's way as it panders to the 'flavour of the month Issues' according to a 'Metro London Radical Agenda' or 'Guardianesque British Republicanism'. A pity really as I do not doubt the essential radical sincerity of these two ladies of the Left in Plaid Cymru, if only they could shake off the Greenham Common Twighlight and, when convienient to them the Cofia Treweryn Plant Crachach World they inhabit from time to time aka 'Poems and Pints' via Neo - Nat Left Red Poets and Red Choirs (Sigh!).

To return to Plaid 'Left' Cymru, yes there is the Left Wing and no doubt deeply hidden away the old Hydro - Business Right Wing but, for most part Plaid is a Cultural Nationalist Movement, once favourable to Dafydd Wiggley and now Plaid politically in decline will remain so.
