RADICALISING THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE GREAT VYRNWY LAND GRAB 2010: Rise Up The 1831 Red Flags - call out 'BARA NEU WAED' & 'TRECH GWLAD NAG ARGLWYDD'

On subject of Red Flags, I am at moment doing a some research on a major disturbence at Llanfair on 18 May 1837. On this occaision a 'Bloody flag' of which it was stated: ''It was not 'some dirty old and dirty hankerchief'' which had been seen n a previous occaision but 'a new piece of red calico'. Very interesting, I will get back to the research and blog up result soon I hope. Meanwhile, time we rose up and raised up a few Red Flags over this coming August Bank Holiday in and about the Vyrnwy Estate area. Am sure you radicals out there can think up some useful Agit - Prop! as well and not least have a nice day out with family and freinds, much to see at Vyrnwy and the kids will just love the RSPB Bird Hide, look out for the little yellow 'Siskins'.       A word or two in recognition of Iris Gower, I have never read any of her books but am more than aware of her prodigious out put of novels set in and around her home town of Swansea. Not least one could not fail to notice the number of her books on sale and I am sure her popularity went beyond the borders of Wales. Iris Gower wrote a great many novels whilst bringing up four children and she did her writting with our grants, please note all you 'Usual Suspect' year after year 'Grant Grabbers'. I would hope that her home town of Swansea, not least Mumbles where Iris was born now sets their mind to organise an annual Gwyl Iris Gower that would celebrate her life whilst commemorate in a popular fashion reflect the themes within her books. I am sure that Wales and World wide Iris Gower is read as much as Dylan Thomas, so why not remember Iris Gower as much?
