At the wall of the federated ones, memorial in homage to the numerous executed communards of 1871, situated in Le cimetiere du Pere - Lachaise, Menilmontant - Belleville *. It is here annually on or about 28 May there is held an annual commemoration, unfortunately because of unforeseen circumstances I could not get over to Paris in time for the commemoration. I finally arrived a week later, to pay my respectful homage to memory of the communards, in a show of solidarity between Merthyr 1831 and Paris 1871. A fuller report and more fotos are on line but at the moment, I am still on a bit of a summer break away from major blogging. In time, I have 100s of Paris fotos to sort out.
